I first became aware of
Demetra through observation. It seemed that every time I admired a garden, her
sign was displayed. I made a mental note to call her when I was ready to tackle
my own garden challenges. I had what I considered a "good start" but my garden
wasn't where I wanted it to be. I had done a lot of my own planting, always
taking the recommendations of nursery experts in choosing the right plants for
my soil, sun and deer-prone conditions. Even so, I had mixed results and wasted
a lot of money and time on plants that did not flourish or even survive.
It wasn't until I called
Demetra that my garden became a showplace. Demetra is a natural when it comes
to plant selection and placement. She knows what will do well where and she
saved many existing plants by transplanting them in more favorable locations. She
gave my garden structure, balance, texture, interest and whimsy. From her first
meeting with me, she observed my style and listened to my ideas so that the
garden would reflect me. When I saw her plans, she had divided and priced my
property in sections, a la carte-style, so I could focus, determine my
priorities and allocate my budget accordingly.
Demetra is easy-going,
collaborative and open to suggestions but she is also determined and deliberate
when it comes to her design decisions. I had complete faith that she would meet
my expectations and she managed to exceed them. I have received many
compliments from neighbors and strangers who are also enjoying and admiring
Demetra's magic. I'm so glad that I finally got around to calling her. My only
regret is that she has moved away and will no longer be tending my garden.
